Spring

I'm back!! I know I have not posted in forever!!! I don't know how many times I sat at the computer with full intentions of posting and I get interrupted and now all of a sudden it's 5 weeks since I posted!! Crazy. We have been sooooooo busy. Getting the crop in, cows out to pasture and out with the bulls, birthdays, baseball and everything in between! Here is most of the last five weeks in pictures.
Grandpa's birthday! He here is with his grandchildren minus the two out west. We had a bonfire with hotdogs and s'mores and then this delicious cake Grandma made.

Processing the cows and calves to go out with the bulls.
It was nice outside so I managed to help the whole time with all three kids in tow.
We have great immune systems around here :)
All the mamas looking for their babies.
 Calves turn to go through!
 Almost four months old here!
 My loves.
We went to the Wellness Fair a couple weeks ago and this was Tanner's first ride on a school bus.
Ali enjoyed the stations as well.

 Grandpa and his girls.

 Starting to love her exersaucer.
 My birthday flowers.

We have three baby foals this spring, here are two of them.

Planting canola here. We started seeding a month earlier than last year.
My Mother's Day gift from my boy! I'm glad I took a picture....it doesn't look like that anymore.
 Four months old!

 His first year of baseball.

Sorry for the long post! I'll try to get on here sooner from now on.

Processing heifers & the Fair

On Sunday we processed our replacement heifers. This means they got branded, needled, new tags and tattooed. Other than the wind it was a beautiful day.

And they are now behind our house waiting for the bull...who is supposed to go in with them tomorrow.
I kind of like looking out there and seeing them.
Yesterday we hit up the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair. The kids had a blast, Tanner especially loved the Super Dogs. Ali petered out pretty quick.
Last the line up was so huge to ride on these tractors, so this year we made sure he got to ride on one.

Slowly but surely, making progress

This is a new to us tractor and air seeder. Pretty exciting step up from the old press drills!! Finally yesterday we were able to seed most of the day. (We do have out sunnies and corn in the ground. We use a planter for that) But it was so nice to be able to get some cereals in.
It is just amazing how much ground you can cover with this equipment!.............When your not sitting in front of the shop that is!

 Helping Grandpa calibrate.
They spotted the choo choo! My kids are obsessed!

We went for a ride with Daddy in the new rig.

So we are getting somewhere even though it doesn't seem like it some days. Looking forward to celebrating Tanner's 4th birthday tonight. I will do a birthday post afterwards.

Have a great day.

We are rolling!

It's may 18th and we are finally moving in the field! Other than fertilizing our winter wheat last weekend. Corey was able to get one field disced today, it's too bad we didn't get near the fall work done in the fall as we should of. Anyways, slowly but surely we will get there.
Picture is courtesy of my hubby's iPhone.
Have a great long weekend,  I sure am!

Marshmellow mustache

We were at a bonfire with friends last night and the older kids were roasting Ali marshmellows. She was pretty sticky when she finished and fell face first into the grass. It was so hilarious bc she just wanted it off but it didn't just come off that easy! Good times.

Easter & Cows

These pictures (below & above) are from last weekend, Good Friday at the Nelson gathering.

I never thought that shades from Dollarama would be such a hit! She is obsessed ha ha.

Saturday spur of the moment we decided to process most of the cows and get them out of the mud because it was such a beautiful day. We are super glad we did now because it has rained all day again today.

Red bunch headed North to spend some time behind our house.
 Baby calfies.

Black mamas looking for their babes! They weren't long without them...

Our last Easter gathering was this weekend, isn't she classy? Pretty dress and rubber boots in the sand box?!

Me and my beautiful daughter!

Here's to a sun-shiney day tomorrow!
