Old Country Roses
Corey's grandma is moving from her home to a suite. So this means dunging out and purging since she can't take it all with her. She had this set of china called Old Country Roses. She basically had enough to split three ways so between myself, Cathryn and Janette we each got a four place setting and then some. This means a lot to me and I look forward to adding pieces to it!

Got mud?
One more post for this wonderful Friday! Apparently these boys were feeling pretty free today --- in the mud! Wow, were they dirty when they came in. But that's ok, they were having fun. Besides Tanner was due for a bath anyways!
Freedom Friday
Woo hoo! It's Friday! Here's a pair of very muddy boys in my back yard, as well as a view of the trees behind our yard. They are all turning such pretty colors. They are Ash trees so of course they are always the first to turn but still pretty! Have a great weekend everyone!

One Year Blogger Anniversary
Today I have been a Blogger for one whole year. I really enjoy this. Here is a brief taste of our last year:
1. We built a house and have currently been in it for 3 months.
2. Our little boy turned three year old.
3. Our little girl turned one.
4. We have been married for 5 years.
5. I said good-bye to my Grandpa.
6. I had no garden this year but my basement is full of preserves ;)
7. We have had a very plentiful crop this year thus far and are not done yet.
8. We bought a new to us camper and have done more camping this year than ever.
9. I started looking after
extra kids in March and I never dreamed I would be this busy. I have five extra kids off and on.
10. Tanner is potty trained since January and Ali just started walking!
Here's to another GREAT year!

Paper chain snake
This filled about 10 minutes! ... Now what to do. I was preparing some things for Landen and Tanner to do tomorrow. I have all my extra kids tomorrow. This means 5 one year olds, a 3 year old and a 4 year old! (that includes my kids and I don't have them all for the whole day) So I need to bring my biggest and most organized guns out...lol. So in order to keep some sanity, I must have some stuff prepared for the boys. If I post tomorrow...I guess that means I survived! Ha ha. It's really not that bad.

Less dirt! (hopefully)
We finally got a pad poured at our front door. We have been bringing ridiculous amounts of dirt in the house! I hope this cuts it down. It's actually called exposed aggregate because the rocks are all showing. And it's colored, kind of an Orange/ red color. It looks great, something my Hunny had never done before and he did a great job. (it's different than just pouring a plain old slab of cement) Anyways, this is the first house post in months lol. We still have lots to do. More insulation in ceiling, still battling plumbing leaks in basement, drywall in basement, landscaping, burying water and sewer lines(the trailer has to go in order to do this, it's sold, just waiting for it to be moved), furnace is not 100% hooked up right yet and no floor heat. The list is never ending! Anyways, have a great evening, it's beautiful out here on the veranda ;)

First time for the School bus at our place!
Say cheese! I think his Auntie was more nervous for him than he was for himself. lol.
What a cutie pie. I can't believe that my little boy is only 2 years away from doing this :(

Pizza Muffins
I got this recipe from Corey's Aunt Joan. When it comes to feeding toddlers, I'm all for finger food. I can't begin to spoon feed four one year olds! They are like little birdies sitting in a nest all fighting for that one little wormie their mommy is holding. Ha. My nerves can't handle that. Life is about simplicity! So here is a picture, I will post the recipe in my Country Cookin' link later today. Hope you are all having a GREAT day!

My cute little pumpkin!
Post #2 for today! Another interest project completed! I love it. I also seen this in one of my magazines, the country sampler.
September Already?!
This summer Tanner has gone from not riding his bike at all, to riding non-stop! He loves his bike.
This last Sunday we were caught right up on our combining so I grabbed at the opportunity to do something as a family. We took the kids to PCU swimming and then grabbed pizza to go on the way home. It was a lot of fun. Both our kids love water. I`m thinking that I will enroll them in swimming lessons this winter to fill the winter months.
Here are some shots I snapped of my only flower bed I have this year. My lilies were all very late in blooming. These are almost done. I love my camera!
This rose is from Tina W. flower garden. She passed away last winter and her daughter `gave`her plants away in exchange for a donation to the MCC.
Sorry I have taken so long to post, it`s just been so busy here. I feel like all I do is eat, feed, wipe bum, wipe snotty nose and sleep! lol. We have all our canola, winter wheat and barley in the bin. One field of oats is done. (Thanks to our neighbors!) So we have oats, corn (silage), green feed (oats and millet) and hay left to do. It`s scary to think that the cows are terribly far from coming home. (especially if the rumors I hear about an early winter/short fall are true) And I was just thinking the other day that pretty soon it will be my one year anniversary of my blog! lol. Not sure if anyone really gets any enjoyment out of it, but I hope so.
Oh yes I have been canning up a storm. Pickles, apple juice, apple jelly, peach jam, chili sauce and apple pie filler and I still want to make salsa, more apple pie filler and applesauce!
Anywho, have a lovely day, I have four 1 year olds and a 1 three year old in my house today! yikes.
