Moving right along!

Today they worked on the pine ceiling most of the day and got it almost done. They will finish it in the morning. Then they will lay the sub-floor down to get ready for the lino on Wednesday!

Our electrician! He has thought of lots of neat things to make our lives simply/easier. My walk-in pantry will have a motion sensored light so it will turn on when I walk in and turn off when I walk out! Also, all of our closets in the bedrooms have lights in them.

Anywho, that's another update on the house.

Look who is 9 months!!

This girl is so hilarious! As soon as the camera comes out or anyone pays some attention to her, she turns into a ham and has to show off with goofy faces.
Check out the ankle rolls lol....
I am almost crawling....in the last couple of days she will now stay up on her hands and knees, just not quite going forward yet.

I have two teeth and I like to show them off! Working on #3 but it's sure taking it's sweet time. We can see it poking through her gums. Almost looks like an eye tooth...?!
This is my favorite picture! What a goofball!

How times have changed...

I'm not gonna lie...7 years ago we would have had a beer in our hand, not babies! Shanley and I have many, many great high-school and also post high-school memories together.

I believe we were out of high-school here. We got together at the Edrans rink to shoot the puck around and have some fun!

Cheers!

Railing, pine and laminate

 I'm in love!!!

 Going downstairs.

Ali's room now has the flooring done and the closet door on.
 Kitchen side ceiling done.
More pine laid out...this stuff has one coat of stain, one coat of varnish and one coat of varnish left to put on.
I think it is turning out quite nicely.

Have a great night!

I won, I won!!!

So on Saturday night we attended the Austin & Area Wildlife Banquet. We want to support this club because we want our children to benefit from it later on. But we were still dragging our feet to go. Not because we didn't want to go, it's just easier to stay at home! We have been so stinkin' busy lately that it would have felt nice to stay at home. Anyways, I spent $10 on a raffle ticket for a ladies gift basket. And I WON!!!!!!!!!! It is valued at over $300!

It includes:
-Gift certificate for a 30 min massage
-Gift certificate for a manicure
-Gift certificate for a facial
-Scentsy
-Norwex
-Honey, honey products, chocolates
-Jewelry (from three local people who either sell it or make and sell it!)
-A picture frame with a $25 off a session with a local photography

I'm ecstatic :)

Have a great day!

Let the tedious finishing touches begin...

Tanner, Grandpa and Ali reading the laminate flooring instructions. Do you think they figured it out??
There will be laminate flooring throughout the bedrooms.
We have been staining and varnishing pine board for the ceiling since Thursday. Talk about a crappy job. We don't have room to lay it all out and do it all at once so it's a little bit at a time. They started putting some on the ceiling to see what it looks like. Looks nice! I post pics of it once there is more to see.
Pine wood casing around all of the windows, I just LOVE it. We will not be staining it, just a couple coats of varnish.
And then there will be pine trim to go around the windows.
All Tanner wanted to was help his Dad and Grandpa with the laminate. Good little helper, by the end of the night he was pooped!
There was a time when I wondered if they were getting anything done at all LOL! Goof balls.

Oh and we can't forget this little peanut! Stuck in her cage lol.
This is serious stuff. ha ha.
I just love love love this face.

Anyways, the log railing is going into our entrance as I type!!!!!!!!! I can hardly wait to see it done, I will post pics tonight.

Find this easy delicious recipe on my Country Cookin' page! You won't regret it.

More paint colors...

 Entrance.
Door way between Kitchen and Entrance. Showing you the Buttered Yam (orange) and Pensive (beige) together.
Entrance. This is a better picture, shows what it truly looks like. Oh and yes this is only one coat...if you were wondering why it looks crappy.
Bathroom. This color is called Nature (I think).
Ali's room. I love the pink but now when I walk into the room I feel like I'm being swallowed by pink. I want to do something with one wall. Anyone have suggestions? White? Chocolate brown? Stripes?
 It is called Country Pink.
Tanner's room. It will be a cowboy  theme. I can't wait to decorate it.
The red is called Caliente and the brown is called Kona (I love this chocolate brown).
The Master. I am finally happy with it. The lighter color is the second color I picked for the lighter color to go with that chocolate brown. The first one I had picked was way too dark. It is called Hush and the brown is called French Press. We have Realtree camo bedding so I tried to pick something that would match.

Anywho, there you are!

House Update!!!!

Log railing in our entrance. It will be stained yet. He builds it all right here and then takes it down, takes it home, stains it, sands it and then will come and install it. We are in love with it!

 Plaster done!
Heather priming the entrance. The ceiling is 12 ft here.
Brenda priming the ceiling on top of the landing in the entrance. We started priming at 4 pm on Wednesday afternoon and by 11pm that we were finished! Thanks to my mother-in-law, Regan and Heather for their help that day.
Here is the first coat of the beige that runs from the North wall in the entrance through the kitchen/living room and into the hallway.
Thanks to Joan (D) and Joan (C) and my mother-in-law for help this day. I was extra appreciative because I was babysitting a couple of little boys that day so was unable to be out there helping till after supper.
I like this color a lot better than at first. It goes really nicely with the Rusty Nail below.
This is in the kitchen/living room. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this color.
Joan (D) is cutting in the beige in the hallway.
Looking in to the Living room from the kitchen.
Trying to show you the beige (Pensive) and Rusty Nail together. I used Benjamin Moore paint, wanted to try something different. They have a lot of beautiful colors.
Joan (C) putting the 2nd coat of beige on the North wall in entrance. She was here that day from 9:30am to about 8:30pm! Thank-you!
Here is a taste of my bathroom color. It's a sage green color. I love it also!

So all in all it has been a crazy busy week! From trying to keep my house from running away on me, dishes, making sure I have meals to feed the extra people, baking, laundry (Tanner was almost out of gitch!), making sure my kids are looked after (Daddy did some extra parenting than he normally has to ;)), looking after other kids which was a blast!, all while painting in every spare moment. I am very thankful of all the extra help I had, we really do appreciate it.

On another note, for one meal I made chili in the crockpot and baked potatoes in another crockpot with a tossed salad. I am not sure WHY I have never thought to do baked potatoes in the crockpot before!!!!!!! It was the easiest thing in the world. This is my new solution to feeding people for harvest/cattle days/etc! I will tell you how in another post in my Country Cookin' page. And also hopefully later today I will take more pictures of the rest of the colors in the new house and post that as well.

I apologize for the long post! Hope you enjoyed it.
